Power Surge — Best friend’s first book ever!

I went to my good friend Sara Codair’s book launch tonight at Jabberwocky. Her first published book—Power Surge—looks great, and she read some of the first chapter aloud to build some suspense for the audience. She told us a bit about her writing process too; how this novel took years to write, and today it looks almost nothing like how it started out six or so years ago. I’ve seen many revisions of this book, but I’m finally excited to just sit down and read it like a reader instead of as a writer always on the lookout for critiques. This time I just get to sit back and enjoy her young adult, LGBT, fairies & demons novel. Tomorrow she’ll be at the Haverhill Library with her books from 10 am to 1 pm, and on October 24 she’s giving a workshop for Young Adults at the Merrimac Library.
